FIX: A response message may be incorrectly matched to an original message when you send multiple messages by using the BizTalk FileAct and InterAct Adapters for SWIFT 2.3

When you use the Microsoft BizTalk FileAct and InterAct Adapters for SWIFT 2.3 to send multiple messages, the FileAct adapter or the InterAct adapter may incorrectly match a response message to the original message. For example, if a bank sends messages to several other banks at the same time, a response message may be incorrectly matched to an original message.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

To apply this hotfix, you must have the BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT 2.3 and the BizTalk FileAct and InterAct Adapters for SWIFT 2.3 installed.

File information

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. Before you install this hotfix, the FileAct adapter and the InterAct adapter do not maintain a unique value for the RequestRef field of each message. The RequestRef field is used to match response messages to the original messages. Therefore, a response message may be incorrectly matched to the original message.

After you install this hotfix, a lock is put on the transaction. This lock enables the FileAct adapter and the InterAct adapter to maintain a unique value for the RequestRef field of each message. Therefore, a response message is matched to an original message as expected.
