Symptoms

When you try to open the Reprint GL Batch Control Reports (01.410.00) screen in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0, you may receive the following error message:

Workaround

Note Before you follow the instructions in this article, make sure that you have a complete backup copy of the database that you can restore if a problem occurs.

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:

Method 1

If you own a license for Multi-Company, follow these steps:
  1. In the navigation pane, click Financial.
  2. In the Financial navigation pane, click General Ledger.
  3. In the General Ledger details pane, click GL Setup under Setup.
  4. Click to select the Activate Multi-Company with Inter-Company Processing check box.
  5. Click to select the Allow Multiple Companies in a Single Database check box.
  6. Click Save. Then, close the GL Setup (01.950.00) screen.

Method 2

If you do not own a license for Multi-Company, populate the Multi-Company fields in the GLsetup table in the Microsoft Dynamics SL application database by using SQL Server Management Studio or by using SQL Query Analyzer. To do this, run the following statement:
Update glsetup set mcactive=1,mult_cpny_db=1
