Error message when you try to start the Microsoft BizTalk RFID service in BizTalk Server 2006 R2: "Could not start the Microsoft BizTalk RFID service on Local Computer"

Symptoms

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2, you may receive an error message that resembles the following when you try to start the Microsoft BizTalk RFID service:
Could not start the Microsoft BizTalk RFID service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.

Error Details:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSBizTalkRFID
Event Category: Server Manager
Event ID: 1500
Description:
The Microsoft BizTalk RFID service failed to start: Could not load type 'MS.Internal.Rfid.Service.ResourceInfo' from assembly 'RfidServices, Version=3.6.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'. Resolve the issue that is causing the exception, and then restart the BizTalk RFID service.
Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following in a Microsoft BizTalk RFID service log file:

Cause

This issue may occur if Microsoft BizTalk RFID and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Beta 2 are installed on the same computer.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, uninstall the .NET Framework 3.5 Beta 2. Then, uninstall Microsoft BizTalk RFID, and then reinstall Microsoft BizTalk RFID.

Microsoft BizTalk RFID is not supported when it is installed on the same computer as the .NET Framework 3.5 Beta 2. However, Microsoft BizTalk RFID will be supported when it is installed on the same computer as the release version of the .NET Framework 3.5.
