Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You develop a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in by using the MMC Software Development Kit (SDK).
  • You call the Console.ShowDialog() method to display a Windows form in the MMC snap-in.
  • When the MMC snap-in is running in Windows Server 2003, the user clicks OK or Cancel several times to close the Windows form.
In this scenario, the MMC.exe program randomly becomes unresponsive, and the mouse pointer appears as an hourglass.
