FIX: An incorrect value is generated in the UniversalResourceIdentifier field when you process PIPs to send a message that includes attachments to a trading partner in BizTalk Server 2006 and in BizTalk Server 2006 R2

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
 • You install Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 and Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.3 or you install Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5.
 • You set the CIDW field to true on the Custom Property tab.
When you process Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) to send a message that includes attachments to a trading partner, the trading partner may reject the message. Additionally, the UniversalResourceIdentifier field is incorrectly generated in the following path:
ServiceHeader\ProcessControl\ActivityControl\MessageControl\Manifest\Attachment\
When this problem occurs, a value that resembles the following is generated in the UniversalResourceIdentifier field:
<UniversalResourceIdentifier>
cid:<9bd2763e56504ddc9abfe356bb5318cd@server.adatum.com>
</UniversalResourceIdentifier>
Note The UniversalResourceIdentifier field should not contain the following wrap characters:
 • <
 • >
The field value should resemble the following value:
<UniversalResourceIdentifier>
cid:9bd2763e56504ddc9abfe356bb5318cd@server.adatum.com
</UniversalResourceIdentifier>
