You receive an error message two times when you save a follow-up appointment activity or a follow-up service activity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, you use the Form Assistant to create a follow-up appointment activity or a follow-up service activity. However, the end time that you specify for the activity is earlier than the start time that you specify for the activity. To save the activity, you click Save, or you click Save and Open. In this scenario, you receive the following error message two times:
You must specify an end time that happens after the start time.
However, you expect to receive this error message one time.

Installation information

Install this hotfix on computers that are running the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server software or the Microsoft Dynamics CRM laptop client for Outlook.

After you install this hotfix, delete the temporary files in Windows Internet Explorer. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. Follow the appropriate step:
    • In Windows Internet Explorer 7, click Delete in the Browsing history area, click Delete files in the Temporary Internet Files area, and then click Yes.
    • In Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet files area, and then click OK.

Prerequisites

You must have Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 installed to apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

If you are prompted to restart the computer, you must restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000.
