FIX: You cannot insert a string that begins with a money sign in a database by using an XML updategram when you use Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for SQL Server

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

You are using Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for SQL Server in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 or in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2. When you insert data in a Microsoft SQL Server database by using an XML updategram, the string cannot be inserted in the database successfully. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • You pass a string that begins with a money sign as a value in the XML updategram. For example, you use a string that begins with a dollar sign ($) or with a pound sign ().
  • Non-numeric characters exist after the money sign.
