FIX: Any blank imported catalog property values do not override the existing values when you use the Commerce Server 2007 catalog import functions to import the catalog as incremental

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

You use the Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 catalog import functions to import a catalog as incremental. If some imported catalog property values are blank, the blank values do not override the existing property values as expected. This situation causes data mismatches, especially in processes that rely on incremental import.

Notes
  • When you import a catalog as incremental, the imported data is used to update the existing catalog. Any data that is not updated by the import process remains unchanged.
  • If no original catalog exists, a new catalog must be created.
