The "Track in CRM" toolbar button and the Regarding toolbar button do not have a graphic when you open an e-mail message in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 client for Outlook

Symptoms

When you open an e-mail message in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 client for Microsoft Office Outlook, the Track in CRM toolbar button and the Regarding toolbar button on the CommandBar toolbar do not have a graphic. However, the Track in CRM toolbar button and the Regarding toolbar button should each have a graphic.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • You have Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 installed, and the Microsoft Office Multilingual User Interface is installed.
  • The Outlook 2003 language setting is not English.
  • In the Options dialog box in Outlook 2003, you selected the Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages check box on the Mail Format tab.

Resolution

This problem is fixed in the Chinese Simplified version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 and for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 2. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Note This hotfix adds a graphic only to the Regarding toolbar button because the Regarding toolbar button has neither a label nor a tooltip.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000.

The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the %Windir%\$NTUninstallKB939175$\Spuninst folder.
