Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. You create a marketing list. Then, you use the lookup function to manage the members of the marketing list. In this scenario, you can unexpectedly add inactive records to the marketing list.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 3.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000.

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit , and then click OK.
  2. Locate the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM
    .
  3. Right-click MSCRM, point to New, and then click DWORD Value to create a new DWORD value.
  4. Rename the DWORD value to the following value:
    MarketingListActiveOnly
    .
  5. Right-click MarketingListActiveOnly, and then click Modify.
  6. Type 1 in the Value data box, and then click OK.
Note When the MarketingListActiveOnly registry key is set to 1, inactive accounts/contacts and closed leads cannot be seen when you click Use Lookup to add members. When the MarketingListActiveOnly registry key is set to 0 or deleted, inactive accounts/contacts and closed leads can be seen when you click Use Lookup to add members.
