You experience one or more issues in Exchange Server 2003 after the daylight saving time period for New Zealand changes in 2007

Symptoms

After the daylight saving time (DST) period for New Zealand changes in 2007, you experience one or more of the following issues in a mail environment that uses Microsoft Exchange Server 2003:
  • The Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 client incorrectly translates times from other time zones to the affected time zone.
  • The Outlook 2003 client incorrectly translates times from the affected time zone to other time zones.
  • The Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access client incorrectly calculates the end time of a meeting.
  • Lotus Notes incorrectly calculates the end time of a meeting.
  • When Exchange Server 2003 users receive a meeting request from Notes users, the Notes connector takes the time zone of the server that is running Exchange Server 2003 as the time zone of the Notes sender. However, the time zone of the Notes sender is shown incorrectly.

Hotfix information

The New Zealand government has announced that the DST period has changed for 2007. The dates are changed as follows.
