When you use the Quick Find view to show customized entities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the record that was deactivated is still displayed. The record that was deactivated should not be displayed.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 3.

How to disable this fix

Install this hotfix on computers that are running the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server components and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook components.

To disable this hotfix and show all records, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  2. Use one or more of the following methods, depending on the software that you have installed.
    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM server
      1. In the registry, locate the following subkey:
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM
      2. Right-click MSCRM, point to New, click DWORD Value, and then type IgnoreCustomEntityFilterQF in the Name field.
      3. Double-click IgnoreCustomEntityFilterQF, and then type 1 in the Value data field.
      4. Click Start, click Run, type iisreset, and then click OK.
    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM laptop client for Outlook
      1. In the registry, locate the following subkey:
        HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRMClient
      2. Right-click MSCRM, point to New, click DWORD Value, and then type IgnoreCustomEntityFilterQF in the Name field.
      3. Double-click IgnoreCustomEntityFilterQF, and then type 1 in the Value data field.
      4. Restart the Microsoft Dynamics CRM laptop client for Outlook.
    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM desktop client for Outlook
      Restart the Microsoft Dynamics CRM desktop client for Outlook.
Note If the value in the Value data field for the IgnoreCustomEntityFilterQF DWORD value reverts to 0, Microsoft Dynamics CRM displays the activated records only when you use the Quick Find view.

Prerequisites

If you are prompted, restart the computer after you install the hotfix.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000.

The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the %Windir%\$NTUninstallKB936152$\Spuninst folder.
