All users in the top level business unit are displayed when you use the Advanced Find feature to filter a resource group in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

When you use the Advanced Find feature to filter a resource group that is associated with some users in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, all users in the top level business unit are displayed. The resource group filter in the Advanced Find feature is ignored.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 3.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000.

The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the %Windir%\$NTUninstallKB936019$\Spuninst folder.

The option to filter by resource group will be removed from the Advanced Find feature after you install this hotfix.

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Click Advanced Find.
2. In the Look for field, select Users.
3. In the Use Saved View field, select [new].
4. Point to Select, and then select Resource Groups in the Related list.
5. Point to Select. Under Resource Groups, select Name in the Fields list.
6. In the field next to Equals, type a resource group name that you want to filter.
7. Click Find.
