Error message when you try to open an activity in a shared calendar in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 client for Outlook: "This item was not completely updated during the last server synchronization. Click here to review other versions"

The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 client for Microsoft Office Outlook. A user shares a calendar with you. Then, the user creates an activity in the calendar. For example, the user creates an appointment. The activity appears in the shared calendar as expected. Then, you try to open the activity in the shared calendar. In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
This item was not completely updated during the last server synchronization. Click here to review other versions.
Additionally, if you open the Sync Issues folder, you receive the following error message:
80070005-508-80070005-1340]

You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. See the folder contact or your system administrator.

Moved a message that failed synchronization to 'Local Failures'. Message subject -> 'My Subject'. You can view this message in your offline folder file only. Error synchronizing message 'My Subject'
This problem occurs if both you and the user are using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

Resolution

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 3.
