Issue that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

• You use the YIELD function that uses the Basis parameter set to 4 in a formula in a Microsoft Office 2003 Web Component (OWC). However, the YIELD function results in an unexpectedly large value. This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • The security's settlement date is the 30th or the 31st of the month.
  • The security's maturity date is the 30th or the 31st of the same month.
  Note The YIELD function returns the yield on a security that pays periodic interest.

Service pack information
