FIX: Error messages when you try to import product catalog data into a data warehouse in Commerce Server 2007: "Faulting application CSDWImportWizard.exe" or "An Unhandled Win32 Exception occurred in SQLWb.exe"

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You have a computer that is running Microsoft Commerce Server 2007. You try to import product catalog data into a data warehouse in Commerce Server 2007. To do this, you use the Data Warehouse Import Wizard, or you use the associated Product Catalog Import Data Transformation Services (DTS) task. In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Faulting application CSDWImportWizard.exe, version 6.0.0.3724, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.42, fault address 0x00014965.
If you try to import product catalog data into a data warehouse by using the Product Catalog Import DTS task in Microsoft SQL Server 2005, you receive the following error message:
An Unhandled Win32 Exception occurred in SQLWb.exe

Resolution

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix. However, you must restart Internet Information Services (IIS) after you apply this hotfix. To do this, click Start, click Run, type iisreset, and then click OK.

This hotfix does not replace any other previously released hotfixes.

To use one of the hotfixes in this package, you do not have to make any changes to the registry.
