The file name of an Excel workbook may contain unreadable characters when you use the "Export to an Excel worksheet" functionality in Microsoft Dynamics CRM

You use the "Export to an Excel worksheet" functionality in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 to export data to Microsoft Office Excel. If the name of the view from which you export the data contains language-specific characters, the file name of the workbook that is saved may contain unreadable characters.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 3.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.

System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook.

The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the %Windir%\$NTUninstallKB929804$\Spuninst folder.

This hotfix may not resolve this problem in the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. This hotfix may not resolve this problem because of a limitation in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and in Microsoft ASP.NET 1.0 and 1.1.
