The Sort Order is not applied when you select a new Sort Order that is not the default Sort Order for a site locale in Office SharePoint Server 2007

Symptoms

You select a Sort Order for a site locale in the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Regional Settings that differs from the default Sort Order. However, the new Sort Order is not applied to AutoFilters, Tables, or PivotTables.

Cause

This problem occurs because Excel Services only applies the default Sort Order for a site locale.

Workaround

To work around this problem, make sure that you have the default Sort Order selected for a site locale. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On your Office SharePoint Server 2007 site, click Site Actions, and then click Site Settings.
  2. Click Regional settings in the Site Administration column.
  3. Select a Locale from the Locale list, select the first Sort Order in the Sort Order list, and then click OK.
