INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to enable the Edit button and the Insert button on a possible values list. This procedure applies if these buttons are disabled by default.

To enable the Edit button and the Insert button on a possible values list, modify the settings of the possible values list. To do this, follow these steps.

Note These steps use the Vendor ID box in the Requisitions (RQ.110.00) screen as an example.

  1. If you know the name of the possible values list, go to step 2. Otherwise, to verify the name of the possible values list, open the screen that contains the box that has the possible values list that you want to edit. In this example, open the Requisitions (RQ.110.00) screen. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. On the Modules menu, click Requisitions.
    2. In the Requisitions pane, click Requisitions under Input.
    3. On the Customize menu, click Customize Mode.
    4. Right-click the Vendor ID box, and then click Property Window.

      Note The name of the possible values list is displayed in the property that is labeled PV. In this example, the name of the possible values list is RQVendor_active.
  2. In Microsoft Office Excel, open the PVRec.csv file that is located in the Solomon\DB\CSVs folder, and then copy the RQVendor_active row.
  3. Paste the row into a new Excel worksheet. Save the new file as a .csv file that is named RQVendor_active.csv.
  4. In the second column, type 0327000, and then click Save.
  5. In Microsoft Dynamics SL, click Possible Values Import on the Utility menu.
  6. In the Possible Values Import (PV.REC) screen, click Enter file name.
  7. Locate the RQVendor_active.csv file, and then click Open.
  8. Click Begin Process.
  9. In the System Message 6913 dialog box, click Yes.
