An action is not executed when you create a workflow rule that uses the "Wait for timer" option to perform the action in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0:
  • You create a workflow rule that uses the Wait for timer option to perform an action.
  • The relative date of one record is after December 31, 2006.
In this scenario, the action is not executed.

For example, you create a workflow rule to add a note to a contact if today's date is within four months of a date that is associated with that contact. If the date that is associated with the contact is later than December 31, 2006 but still within four months, the note is not created. If the date is earlier then December 31, 2006, the note is created.
