Workaround

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  2. Locate, and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
  3. Locate, and then click one of the following registry subkeys:
    • {CA7BE522-8026-4E85-A432-1C9EB6BCFC00}
    • {62B75B74-230C-4F57-B5D5-4D9069C22592}
  4. If neither of these subkeys exists, add one of them. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click the HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall registry subkey, right-click the Uninstall node, point to New, and then click Key.
    2. Type one of the previous numbers. Make sure that you include the braces to name the new subkey.
  5. Try to reinstall the correct language version of the Update Rollup 1.
If the problem still occurs, follow these steps:
  1. Locate, and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMClient
  2. Determine the value of the LanguageID entry.

    Note This value is the language version of the Microsoft CRM client that you installed. This language version must match the language version of the Update Rollup 1 that you downloaded. For example, if the value of the LanguageID entry is 1033, you installed the English version of the Microsoft CRM client.
  3. Try to reinstall the correct language version of the Update Rollup 1.
If the problem still occurs, unregister and then reregister the Msxml.dll files. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
  2. At the command prompt, type the following commands. Press ENTER after each command.
    • Regsvr32 /u msxml.dll
    • Regsvr32 /u msxml2.dll
    • Regsvr32 /u msxml3.dll
    • Regsvr32 /u msxml4.dll
  3. At the command prompt, type the following commands. Press ENTER after each command.
    • Regsvr32 /r msxml.dll
    • Regsvr32 /r msxml2.dll
    • Regsvr32 /r msxml3.dll
    • Regsvr32 /r msxml4.dll
  4. Try to reinstall the correct language version of the Update Rollup 1.
