FIX: Error message when you try to enlist two orchestrations at the same time in BizTalk Server: "Value does not fall within the expected range"

Symptoms

In Microsoft BizTalk Server, you receive an error message that resembles the following when you try to enlist two orchestrations at the same time:�
Could not enlist orchestration 'OrchestrationName, OrchestrationName Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=780b3672abbbdefd'. Could not enlist orchestration 'OrchestrationName, OrchestrationName Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=780b3672abbbdefd'. Value does not fall within the expected range. (Microsoft.BizTalk.SnapIn.Framework)
The Application log may also log the following error:

Description: ArgumentException exception occurred while the XLANG/s runtime enlisted a service.
Error message: Value does not fall within the expected range.

This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • You try to enlist the orchestrations or start the application in the BizTalk Server Administration Console or through the ExplorerOM object model. �
  • Each orchestration is bound to a different host.

Cumulative updated information

For BizTalk Server 2009, the hotfix that resolves this issue is included in Cumulative Update 1 for BizTalk Server 2009.
