Note Windows XP-based client computers will install the driver from the local driver cache if the local driver name matches the driver name on the server. Windows XP-based client computers will use the driver on the server before they use the driver in the local cache. Therefore, make sure that you install on the print server the latest version of the x86 driver that works for all versions of the operating systems that are running on the print server's client computers.
