Symptoms

In Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007, you import a Microsoft Office Excel workbook that has lots of rows or lots of columns. When you do this, InfoPath 2007 may take a long time to import the Excel workbook.

Cause

The InfoPath 2007 importer for Excel workbooks is designed to import typical business forms that were originally authored by using Excel. Workbooks that have lots of content may not be appropriate for use as InfoPath 2007 form templates. Additionally, the InfoPath 2007 importer for Excel workbooks is not optimized for these large workbooks.
