Error message in the "Top 5 Reports" area of the center pages in Business Portal: "Server Error in '/' Application"

Symptoms

You may receive the following error message in the Top 5 Reports area of the center pages:
Server Error in '/' Application.

Invalid object name '[DB Name]..RC_ReportUsage'.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Invalid object name [DB Name]..RC_ReportUsage
This problem occurs in Business Portal 3.0 in Microsoft Dynamics GP and in Microsoft Dynamics SL.

Cause

This problem may occur if the following tables are not initialized or created correctly:
  • RC_ReportUsage
  • RC_ReportRoleAssignments
  • RC_ReportCenterAssignments

Resolution

Business Portal 3.0

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Insert the Business Portal installation CD, and then start the installation program.

    Note Because Business Portal is already installed, the installation program will provide maintenance procedures for the existing installation.
  2. Click Run SQL Configuration.

    Note SQL Configuration reinitializes the Business Portal tables and creates tables for companies that were added after Business Portal was installed.

Business Portal for Dynamics GP 10.0 or SL 7.0

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Add/Remove Programs item in Control Panel, and then select Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics.
  2. Click Change.
  3. Click SQL Configuration to complete the installation of these tables.

    Note SQL Configuration reinitializes the Business Portal tables and creates tables for companies that were added after Business Portal was installed.
