Resolution

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods.

Method 1

Disable the user instead of removing the user in Business Portal. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Site Settings, click Users and Permissions, and then click Manage Business Portal Users.
  2. Click the Business Portal user, click the Roles tab, and then click Modify.
  3. Clear all the Portal roles, click Clear for each Advanced role, and then click OK.

Method 2

Add the Business Portal administrative user as a local administrator on the server that is running Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS). Follow these steps for the Business Portal administrative user who is receiving the error message. To add the user as a local administrator, follow these steps:
  1. On the server that is running IIS, right-click My Computer on the Desktop, and then click Manage.
  2. In the Computer Management window, expand Local Users and Groups, and then click Groups.
  3. Double-click Administrators.
  4. In the Administrators Properties dialog box, click Add.
  5. In the Enter the object names to select box, type the name of the Microsoft Windows account by using the domain\username format, and then click OK.
