Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You run a customized 32-bit program on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or that is running Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. This program uses multiple WH_GETMESSAGE hooks in a hook chain. These WH_GETMESSAGE hooks change the messages that are retrieved from the system message queue. In this scenario, only the changes that the first WH_GETMESSAGE hook makes will be saved to the message that the GetMessage function returns.
