Description of the ISA Server 2004 hotfix package: August 23, 2006

Microsoft has released the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 hotfix package that is dated August 23, 2006. This article describes the following aspects of this hotfix package:

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

The hotfix package fixes the following issue:

• 924405� Client computers cannot download attachments when you use ISA Server 2004 forms-based authentication and run a third-party OWA add-in program to manage attachments
• 924404� After you enable compression for HTTP content in ISA Server 2004 with Service Pack 2, the Microsoft Firewall service may randomly stop responding

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must have ISA Server 2004 Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed on the computer.

Restart information

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix. However, ISA Server 2004-related services are automatically stopped and then restarted when you apply this hotfix.

Hotfix replacement information

This hotfix does not replace any other hotfix.

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time.
