Symptoms

While trying to sync with the Exchange server we receives following error message on the Mobile device:

Your account in Microsoft Exchange Server does not have permission to synchronize with your current settings. Contact your Exchange Server administrator. Support Code: 0x85010004

Resolution

We will receive this error message if we have a Firewall and not allowed a Rule on the Firewall for Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync

If customer has a ISA firewall inform the customer to add rule to allow Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync and that will resolve the issue

We receive this error, if the customer has a firewall and rule is not created on the Firewall for Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync

Create a rule on the Firewall which will allow Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync traffic to pass through it and that will resolve the issue
