Error message when you use the Reconnect method that is part of WMI in Exchange Server 2003 to reconnect mailboxes that have the same LegacyExchangeDN attribute: "Unable to reconnect mailbox due to error 0xC105010F"

Symptoms

You use the Reconnect method that is part of Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 to reconnect mailboxes that have been disconnected. If these disconnected mailboxes have the same LegacyExchangeDN attribute, the attempts to reconnect fail. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
Unable to reconnect mailbox due to error 0xC105010F.

Workaround

To work around this problem, use the Exchange System Manager console to manually reconnect these disconnected mailboxes. To do this, follow these steps:
1.In the Exchange System Manager console, locate one of the disconnected mailboxes.
2.Right-click the disconnected mailbox, and then click Reconnect.
3.Type a user name in the Select a new user for this mail dialog box, and then click OK two times.
4.Repeat steps 2 through 3 for the rest of the disconnected mailboxes.

1.Open the Exchange System Manager console.
2.Expand organization name, expand Administrative Groups, and then expand administrative group's name.
3.Expand Servers, expand server name, expand storage group's name, expand mailbox store name, and then expand the Mailboxes that the disconnected mailbox belongs to.
4.Locate the disconnected mailbox.
5.Make sure that the Full Mailbox Directory Name attribute of each disconnected mailbox is unique.
Note If the Full Mailbox Directory Name attribute does not appear, you may right-click Mailboxes to add the Full Mailbox Directory Name attribute. By default, the Full Mailbox Directory Name attribute does not appear.
