Introduction

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 includes a new feature that is called the Electronic Business Card. An Electronic Business Card is a view of a contact that captures specific information from the contact. This feature enables you to share information in a highly recognizable form that can include a picture or other graphic file.

An Electronic Business Card includes content and files that are controlled by the person who creates the Electronic Business Card. Therefore, recipients should be aware that the contents are not verified in any way.

More information

When you create an Electronic Business Card, you can add your company logo to help identify your association with your company. Fraudulent users can add a graphic for a company with which they are not legitimately associated. This resembles the way a dishonest person can create fraudulent letterhead and other documents by using a copier, a scanner, or a printer.

If you receive an Electronic Business Card that includes a company logo, be aware that the Electronic Business Card does not indicate that the identity of the contact is verified in any way.
