Event 13026 and event 13027 do not contain the correct description information when you install the Exchange Server 2003 Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You perform the following tasks in the following order:
  • You install the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes.
  • You apply hotfix 842631. This hotfix is described in the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    842631 An update is available to configure the timeout settings for the Migration Wizard in Exchange Server 2003
  • On the computer on which you installed the Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes, you make changes in the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\MSExchangeNotesMig
    These changes are as follows:
    • "MaxMailboxLogonRetries"=dword:00000010
    • "MailboxLogonRetryInterval"=dword:00000010
You run the Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes to migrate Lotus Notes mailbox data to the computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. After you do this, the following events may appear in the Application log in Event Viewer:

Event ID: 13026
Description: The description for Event ID ( 13026 ) in Source ( MSExchangeNotesMig ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details.
The following information is part of the event: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\MSExchangeNotesMig\, MaxMailboxLogonRetries, 16.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, you must install the September 2006 Web Release (06.05.7855) version, or a later version, of the Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes. To download the September 2006 Web Release version of the Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes, visit the following Microsoft Web site:After you install the September 2006 Web Release version of the Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes, the following descriptions are added to events 13026 and 13027:
