FIX: The Test Map operation is not successful when you map a custom schema to a HIPAA schema in BizTalk Server 2004

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You are running a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 application that uses BizTalk Accelerator for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) 3.0. You map a custom schema to a HIPAA schema, and then you test or validate the map at design time. You select Native as the value for the Test Map command. In this scenario, the Test Map operation is not successful, and there are error messages in the Microsoft Visual Studio output window.

For example, the following error message contains sample error messages that may appear in the Visual Studio task list after you perform the Test Map operation. The first four error messages are consistent, regardless of the HIPAA schema that is used.
ProjectFolder\map.btm Double-click here to show/hide compiler links.
TempFolder\map_output.txt Output validation error: Validate Instance : Failed to validate instance
TempFolder\map_output.txt Output validation error: Validate Instance : file: [] error 15
ProjectFolder\map.btm Test Map failure for map file <file:///drive:\ProjectFolder\map.btm>.
ProjectFolder\map.btm The destination node someNode has multiple source loop paths

The Map_output.txt file always contains garbage data that resembles the following data:
