FIX: Error message when you check in files in Visual Studio 2005 Team System: "Attempted to read or write protected memory"

Symptoms

When you check in files in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System, you may receive the following error message:
Attempted to read or write protected memory
Typically, this problem occurs after you click the Filter by solution button in Visual Studio 2005 Team System.
