FIX: Error message when you try to build a schema or try to validate a schema in BizTalk Server 2006:

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
You create a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 project.
You add an XML Schema definition language (XSD) schema that is named schema D to the project. Schema D defines a type.
You add schemas that are named schema B and schema C to the project. Both schema B and schema C import schema D.
You add a schema that is named schema A to the project. Schema A imports schema B, schema C, and schema D.
In this scenario, schema A may have three root nodes of the same type. When you try to build schema A or try to validate schema A, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
Node node name - Specify a valid .NET type name for this root node. The current .NET type name of this root node is a duplicate.
This problem does not occur in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004.
