When you use a Terminal Services session to access redirected local hard disk drives on a Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1-based computer, you may experience a delay

Consider the following scenario:

• You connect to a Terminal Services session from a Microsoft Windows-based client.
• The Terminal Services session is running on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based computer.
• You access redirected local hard disk drives and the folders on these drives on the Windows Server 2003 SP1-based computer.

In this scenario, you may experience a significant delay. The delay may occur more frequently when you have a slow network connection.

This problem occurs because of a fault in the Explorer shell that is introduced in Windows Server 2003 SP1.
