You can install this update on a computer that is running any of the programs that are listed in the following table.

If Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 is not installed on the computer, use the following version of the update. This version is useful for previewing a stand-alone version of the update before you install the update.

Notes
The laptop client version of this update must be installed by a user who is a member of the local administrator's group on the computer.
The server version of this update must be installed by a user who is a member of the local administrator's group on the Microsoft CRM server.
You do not have to install this update on a computer that is running the desktop version of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Microsoft Office Outlook. This is because the desktop client uses the online Help files on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server.
Anyone can install the stand-alone version of this update.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to install this update.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you install this update.

Temporary Internet files

All Microsoft CRM users must delete the files in the Temporary Internet Files folder. Users must take this action to make sure that they see the updated online Help files and not a previous Help page from their cache.

Note If you are the administrator of the Microsoft CRM server on which this update has been installed, you must inform the users to delete the files in the Temporary Internet Files folder.

To delete the files in the Temporary Internet Files folder, follow these steps:
1.Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2.On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3.On the General tab, click Delete Files.
4.In the Delete Files dialog box, click to select the Delete all offline content check box, and then click OK.

Removal information

To remove this update, use Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel.

Note To remove the online Help files from a computer that does not have Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 installed, delete the folder to which the update files were extracted.

System administrators can use the Spunist.exe utility to remove this update. The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the following folder:
%Windir%\$NTUninstallKB921467$\Spuninst

Note These files are installed in the Help\PRO and Help\SBE folders on the Microsoft CRM Web site. If a previous online Help update has been installed, this hotfix will overwrite only changed files. Therefore, fewer files will be updated and added.
