Symptoms

When you try to open the Fiscal Year Setting dialog box from the Organization Settings dialog box in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Small Business Edition, you receive the following error message:
An error has occurred. For more information, contact your system administrator.
The problem occurs after you change the default full name format in the Microsoft CRM Small Business Edition Configuration Wizard.

This problem also occurs in the Japanese version and in the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server, and then click Query Analyzer.
2.In the SQL Query Analyzer dialog box, click the Microsoft CRM database in the database list.
3.Run the following script:
update organizationbase set fiscalsettingsupdated=0
