Resolve problems with zoom or other features in LifeCam software

Symptoms

On a Microsoft LifeCam camera, you may experience the following symptoms after you set the video resolution to the highest mega pixel (MP) setting or if it is in Video Capture mode:
  • The zoom button, the pan button, and the tilt button are dimmed.
  • When you click the face tracking button, nothing happens.

Workaround

Some LifeCam cameras do not support pan, tilt, zoom, and face tracking features when the resolution is set to the highest setting or while in Video Capture mode. To work around this behavior, set the resolution to a lower setting on the LifeCam camera.
