Introduction

This article describes how to obtain full log files for Commerce Server Staging (CSS) troubleshooting on a computer that is running Microsoft Commerce Server 2007. The full log files let you know how the operating system and CSS are working.

Note This feature takes lots of system resources. The logs can contain more than three pages of content per second. You should only use this feature when you want to troubleshoot CSS.

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

To obtain the full log files, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CSS
    .
  3. In the right pane, double-click FullLogging.
  4. In the Value data box, type Yes, and then click OK.

    Note The Yes option provides complete details of all replication events. The No option provides only basic notification.
  5. Close Registry Editor.
