FIX: Error message after you install Windows Server 2003 SP1 or Windows Server 2003 R2: "RPC_S_PROTOCOL_ERROR"

Symptoms

After you install Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2, you cannot remotely administer Microsoft COM+ components. Additionally, Active Server Pages and stand-alone clients that use the COMAdmin classes to administer COM+ components on remote computers no longer work. Also, you receive the following error message:

Service pack information
