When you integrate a payroll transaction, the pay rate is rounded off to four decimal places even though you set the rate to five decimal places in Microsoft Dynamics GP and in Microsoft Great Plains

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 and in Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains 8.0. You click 5 in the Pay Rate list in the Decimal Places area of the Payroll Setup Options window to set up a pay code that specifies a pay rate of five decimal places. Then you run a payroll transaction integration in Integration Manager.

When you run the integration, the pay rate is rounded off to four decimal places. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

DOC 1 WARNING: Value 0.45678 rounded to 0.4568 for field 'Entries.Pay Rate'.
Although the pay rate value that is rounded off is mathematically accurate, the rounding-off action is incorrectly occurring. The integration does not maintain five decimal places for the pay rate value even though Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Great Plains do let you enter a value of five decimal places.
