Symptoms

You move a mailbox between administrative groups in a native-mode Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 environment. After you do this, other users view free/busy information for the mailbox that was moved. These other users may see outdated information or hash marks that indicate that no data is available.

This problem occurs when users access the affected mailbox by using non-Outlook clients exclusively, such as Outlook Web Access or the Auto Accept Agent.

More information

In a native-mode Exchange Server 2003 organization, a mailbox can be moved between administrative groups. However, the legacyExchangeDN attribute is not changed on the user account that is associated with the mailbox. In this case, the task that publishes free/busy information for non-Outlook users can randomly publish free/busy information to the wrong folder.
