Error message when you install Integration Manager 9.0 for Microsoft Dynamics GP

Symptoms

When you install Integration Manager 9.0 for Microsoft Dynamics GP on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, you may receive one of the following error messages.
Error message 1
Msscript.ocx does not exist.
Error message 2
The windows installer service cannot update the system file c:\winnt\system32\msscript.ocx because the file is protected by windows. You may need to update your operating system for this program to work correctly.
Note This problem occurs on workstations that have all the latest Windows 2000 service packs installed.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, click OK after you receive the error message. The installation finishes. Integrations can still run if the Integration Manager 9.0 destination is added.


The issue that is described in the Symptoms section does not apply to Dynamics GP 10.0.
