A recurring meeting is not updated on an attendee's calendar in Exchange Server 2003 SP2 when you use a third-party WebDAV program to update the recurring meeting request

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You use a third-party Web-based Distribution and Authoring Versioning (WebDAV) program to update a recurring meeting request. The attendee's mailbox is located on a server that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2). The attendee accepts the update in Microsoft Outlook. In this scenario, the recurring meeting is not updated on the attendee's calendar.

Note If another attendee's mailbox is located on a server that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1), the recurring meeting is updated on this attendee's calendar in this scenario.

Cause

This issue occurs if the WebDAV program does not correctly update the value of the DTSTAMP property of the message item.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, configure the WebDAV program to update the value of the DTSTAMP property of the message item so that the updated DTSTAMP property has a later time value than the DTSTAMP property of the original message item.
