ISA Server 2004 tries to generate a monthly report every time that you run DailySum.exe program

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 tries to generate a monthly report. However, ISA Server 2004 does not generate this report because of a low disk space condition. When this scenario occurs, every time that you run the DailySum.exe program, ISA Server 2004 tries to generate a monthly report. However, this report is never generated because the corresponding data is corrupted. Additionally, you receive a message that states that daily summaries could not be summarized into a monthly summary.

Note By default, the Dailysum.exe program runs at 12:30 A.M. every day even if no reports are specified.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, locate the folder where ISA summary logs are saved. Then, manually delete the corresponding corrupted monthly summary log file.

Note The default location of the ISA summary log files is the Drive:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA Server\ISASummaries folder.
