The offline address book regeneration operation fails, and event ID 9328 may be logged in Exchange Server 2003

Symptoms

When Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 tries to regenerate an offline address book, the operation fails. Additionally, the following event ID may be logged in the System event log on the server that is running Exchange Server 2003:

Cause

This problem may occur when an Exchange Server organization contains at least 1.5 million mail-enabled objects in the Active Directory directory service.

Resolution

Hotfix information
