Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. On a computer that is running a non-English version of Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, you create and save personal cover pages to use when you send a fax. Then, you upgrade this computer to a non-English version of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2. In this scenario, you experience the following symptoms:
  • When you open the Fax Console and then click Personal Cover Pages on the Tools menu, the Personal Cover Pages dialog box does not display the personal cover pages that you created in Windows 2000 Server.
  • You find the following subfolders in the C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\Fax folder:
    • Personal Coverpages
    • Personal Coverpages (localized language)
Note The non-localized Personal Coverpages folder contains the personal cover pages that you created in Windows 2000 Server.
Note

When you upgrade to the Simplified Chinese (CHS) version of Windows Server 2003 R2, you find the following subfolders in the C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents folder:
  • Fax
  • Fax (localized language)

Cause

This issue occurs when you upgrade Windows 2000 Server to a later version of Windows, because the Personal Coverpages folder is not localized in Windows 2000 Server.

Note The Personal Coverpages folder is localized in non-English versions of Windows Server 2003 R2.
