Error message when you try to export data to Microsoft Excel from Microsoft Dynamics CRM: "Problems during load"

Symptoms

When you try to export data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Microsoft Excel, the data is not exported. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Problems came up in the following areas during load:

Workbook Setting



A log file has been created listing the load warnings. This file has been saved to the following location: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.MSO\filename.log.

Cause

This issue may occur if a view name is longer than 25 characters and if the view name contains one or more of the following characters:
  • Less than sign ( < )
  • Greater than sign ( > )
  • Quotation mark ( " )
  • Apostrophe ( ' )
  • Ampersand ( & )
