Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must change the mailbox access account's primary SMTP address to match the address that is defined in the default recipient policy. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in.
  2. Move to the container that contains the test account user.
  3. Right-click the mailbox access account object, and then click Properties.
  4. Click the E-mail Addresses tab.
  5. Click the entry for the primary SMTP address. This entry has the label SMTP in capital letters and in bold under the Type column.
  6. Click Edit.
  7. Change the entry in the E-mail address box to match the entry in the default recipient policy. Consider the following example:
    • The mailbox access account's primary SMTP address is "MyserverMOM@mail.adatum.com"
    • The default recipient policy e-mail address is "@adatum.com"
In this case, you must change the mailbox access account's primary SMTP e-mail address to "MyserverMOM@adatum.com"
  8. Click to clear the Automatically update e-mail addresses based on recipient policy check box.
  9. Click the Exchange Advanced tab.
  10. Make sure that the Hide from Exchange address lists check box is cleared.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Exit the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in.
